News | Form six national examination kicked off yesterday
Dar es Salaam. The National Form Six Examination startedyesterday across the country for some 74,963 registered candidates from both private and public schools.
The exams will be conducted for three weeks from yesterday to 2nd – 19th May this year, as per the schedule by the National Examination Council of Tanzania (Necta).
From the total number of candidates, 63,102 are from formal schools and 11,861 are private candidates, according to the Necta Executive Secretary Dr Charles Msonde.
“From formal schools, there are 38,618 boys and 24,484 girls, while the list of private candidates has 7,652 males and 4,209 females,” he said.
The Necta boss extended his call to invigilators and candidates ensure that procedures for operating examination are observed to avoid cheating.
